The short version

Who we are

Seefio is owned by Seeky Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17272912) at 51 Colegate, Norwich NR3 1DD. Seeky Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZC183006). You can contact us at [email protected].

What Seefio does on your iPhone

To search and tidy your photos, Seefio reads the photos you give it access to and builds a private index on your iPhone. The index records:

The index is kept inside the app on your iPhone. We can't see it.

Your searches are handled on your iPhone too. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Seefio uses Apple's on-device model to understand what you type.

If you search with a photo or the camera, a photo you take is used for that one search and isn't saved.

Voice search. You can hold the microphone button and say what you're looking for. Seefio only uses the microphone while you hold the button. Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text on your iPhone. No audio leaves your iPhone, and none is saved. Where a phone or language can't do this on the device, voice search isn't available.

Faces

If you switch on Find people by face, Seefio makes a face fingerprint for each face in your photos, so it can group them and find the people you name. Face fingerprints are biometric data, which the law gives extra protection. So:

Your photos will include other people. Seefio only uses their faces to help you find photos in your own library, on your own iPhone.

Seefio's index and face data are left out of iCloud and computer backups, so they never leave your iPhone that way either.

What we receive

Nothing about you or your photos comes to us from the app. There are three exceptions:

seefio.com is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. The website doesn't use cookies or analytics.

Our legal basis

Your choices and rights

The controls are in the app and your iPhone settings:

As we hold no data about you from the app, there's normally nothing for us to send or delete. For emails you've sent us, you can ask to see, correct or delete them at [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If we change how Seefio handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change means data would leave your iPhone, we'll ask you in the app first.
